Light Quantum Sensor
The light quantum sensor measures photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) between 400 and 700 manometers. This is the range of wavelength that can affect active plant growth. The sensor mimics how the plant absorbs sunlight.

Tipping Bucket
The tipping bucket rain gauge is an electronic rain collector that measures rainfall in 0.01-inch increments. The bucket is self emptying and has an accuracy of +/- 2%.

DEFINITION OF TERMS
Month - Month of the year
    Temp oC Mean -
Average temperature for the month

Degree Days - Heat unit calculated from an integral function of time varying temperatures

Rain Fall mm - Accumulated rain in a month in millimeter

Rain Fall (in) - Accumulated rain in a month in inches

Rain Days - Number of days in a month when rain occurred

PAR Hr - Number of hours of photosynthetic active radiation

PAR (mol/m2d) - Accumulated PAR in a month. PAR is measured by moles of photons per

square meter per day

Data Logger
The data logger houses the sensors that measures temperature and relative humidity (RH). Its primary function is to collect and store data from the rain gauge, temperature, PAR, and RH sensors. The data logger has the capacity of 15,000 measurements with a 3-month battery life.

Radiation Shield
BThe radiation shield holds and protects the data logger and its temp/RH sensors from draft and direct sunlight exposure. The radiation shield secures all connections from various sensors to the data port.
